Kerala PA Tourism Minister Mohamed Riyas inaugurated a virtual travel guide which would provide access to all information regarding tourist places using QR Code for all visitors coming to Kerala.
This new digital tool will give access to all important information such as the distance to the nearest bus stop, airport and train station as well as the opening hours of the tourist destination as well as its contact numbers . The Minister said this after launching the installation in Fort Kochi.
The e-brochure will be installed at tourist centers and airports in Kerala, inside and outside India. More content will be added to the electronic brochure, as well as facts about places with tourist potential that are not widely known. Many more technology-driven amenities will be launched in the tourism sector in the coming months to ensure that travel becomes hassle-free, Minister Riyas said.
This e-brochure will ensure that a single click leads to relevant social media pages. The essential guide will also provide information on organized trips and how to book them.
Minister Riyas said proper maintenance of tourist centers is a necessity. He said tourism clubs will be established in colleges in Kerala and will involve young people in curating and publicizing local travel spots. The Government of Kerala will issue an announcement for the implementation of the project after consultation with the Minister of Higher Education.
