In our Halo Infinite guide How to Unlock Fast Travel, we’ll teach you how to unlock Fast Travel in Halo Infinite, where you can travel fast, and when you can.
Getting to a certain location quickly would surely be more convenient than walking through a large area, especially if you wouldn’t be able to find vehicles like the Banshee or the WASP.
Halo Infinite features a huge open world in the form of Zeta Halo Ring, a first in the franchise that typically dealt with more linear missions. With its new open world, Halo Infinite has plenty of places to hide skull locations and Spartan Core upgrades for new Master Chief gear.
If you are wondering how to unlock Fast Travel in the Halo Infinite campaign, or if this option is still not available to you, in this guide we will describe all the steps to unlock it.
How to Unlock Fast Travel in the Halo Infinite Campaign
There are plenty of fast travel locations in Halo Infinite, but they must be found and unlocked separately. Players must first locate all of the forward operating bases in Halo Infinite to fully unlock the fast travel option.
A large number of adversaries will be encountered in the Halo Infinite campaign, some of which will open up new fast travel routes.
Without needing to complete Halo Infinite’s main campaign, players can still freely explore open areas of the map. The game allows players to quickly travel or change their gear in Halo Infinite. To open each forward base of operations, eliminate all enemies surrounding the facility.
Here are all of the steps to unlock Halo Infinite’s fast travel mechanic.
Complete the prologue mission
It can be a bit difficult for Master Chief to travel fast when stuck floating in the abyss of space. After being rescued by the pilot, you must first cross one of The Banished’s spaceships in the prologue mission before landing in the Zeta Halo ring.
Leave the Tremonius Outpost
Of course, it doesn’t end there. There is another level where you have to fight through a Banished Outpost before showing up to the open world.
But wait! Before you can step outside for some fresh air, Tremonius stands in your way. He is one of the campaign leaders for Halo Infinite. And at the end of the level, it stands between you and the only elevator that comes out of it.
Once you’ve defeated Tremonius, you can finally get out of the Banished Outpost. The pilot will ask you to empty the base before you can land. You should do a short job of the goons on the outside.
After completing all of the above, you can now travel quickly to the Tremonius Outpost.
Liberate FOB Outposts
Players must free up an Forward Operating Base to gain access to any of Halo Infinite’s fast travel points. Players must then walk to the large middle platform and interact with the console once the opponents are defeated.
Of course, you can’t just travel fast if you have nowhere to travel fast. Much of the Halo Infinite open world map will be locked down from Fast Travel until you free several of its FOB outposts.
Before you can fast travel to these FOB outposts, you will need to travel the old fashioned way. Get a WASP or find a Banshee that flies to make the journey much faster.
A base with more difficult enemies or a large number of them may require multiple attempts to break free.
Defeat all enemies
To start using the base, players must first defeat all nearby enemies. It’s important to bring some of the best weapons in Halo Infinite with you when taking control of a base, as some opponents are tougher than others.
From the map, players can instantly teleport to a controlled forward operating base by selecting it and pressing the button or the fast travel key.
There’s no need to worry about opponents getting back to basics in Halo Infinite. Taking control of forward operating bases and scouring the map quickly in Halo Infinite should be possible with skilled gear.
Once you’ve cleared an FOB outpost, you can get there quickly anytime, except when you’re in the middle of a fight. In doing so, you can summon cars, modify your gear and weapon gear, and summon vehicles.
Fast Travel makes finding collectibles such as Forerunner artifact locations much more convenient.
